I’m Prabha Markandan. Two decades in engineering - starting as a full-stack developer, now leading platforms and engineering teams across tech, banking, finance, and insurance. I stay close to the technical work - architecture, AI systems, DevSecOps, and platform engineering remain part of my day-to-day.
I’ve spent my career at the intersection of technical delivery and organisational performance. Building platforms, leading transformation, and working out what actually makes engineering teams perform at their best. The technical problems are rarely the hardest ones.
Alongside, I’ve trained as a coach - ICF-accredited, in progress. I bring coaching principles into how I work with teams and people - helping teams move past the patterns that slow them down and build the kind of trust that produces real outcomes.
I write about engineering leadership, delivery excellence, technology strategy, and the evolving role of AI in how we build and solve problems.
I also enjoy reading about history and connecting the dots between past events and today’s economy - it gives me perspective on how the world shapes us and the choices we make. I think about AI in a similar way - generative AI, LLMs, and agentic systems are reshaping how we build, decide, and deliver at scale, and understanding that shift responsibly and effectively matters.
“Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it.”
